Located inside the Newport parking lot directly across from the Sahara DMV, this location offers walk-in smog checks and diesel tests completed in under 15 minutes, plus full Nevada DMV services including registration renewals, title transfers, license plates, reinstatements, salvage titles, and out-of-state registrations. Most DMV paperwork is handled by our experts in 20 minutes or less, with services typically completed in 7–10 business days. Expedited 2-day and 4-day options available. We are also authorized to work with Nevada's Smog Free Clark County state-sponsored repair assistance program, which provides up to $975 in repair assistance for qualifying vehicle owners with model years 1968–2006 that have failed a smog check. No appointment needed — walk-ins are always welcome for smog checks and diesel smog testing. Most smog checks are completed in 15 minutes or less. You can schedule ahead online for DMV services if you'd prefer.
A 2G certified station is licensed by the State of Nevada to both test and repair vehicles that fail their smog check. Unlike a regular smog station that can only test, a 2G station like our Sahara & Atlantic location can diagnose and fix the emissions problem on-site — no towing, no second trip. We're also authorized to work with Nevada's Smog Free Clark County repair assistance program for qualifying customers.
The Smog Free Clark County program provides up to $975 in repair assistance for qualifying vehicle owners whose cars fail a smog check. Vehicles from model years 1968–2006 may qualify. You must have failed a smog check within the past 12 months, live in a Clark County ZIP where smog testing is required, and provide proof of ownership and a valid photo ID. Yes — this is one of the few Las Vegas locations equipped for diesel emissions testing. Diesel truck owners and commercial vehicle operators from across the valley come to our Sahara location for this specialized service. No appointment needed.
We process your registration renewal on-site through our emissions analyzer connected directly to the Nevada DMV system. The cost is a $10 Smog Busters fee plus whatever you owe the DMV. Your registration tags are then mailed to you by the DMV. Need your tags faster? Ask about our 48-Hour Tag Retrieval service ($44 fee) — we physically pick them up from the DMV, usually by the next business day.
Most DMV paperwork is handled by our experts in 20 minutes or less on-site. Standard turnaround for completed DMV services is 7–10 business days, though many come back sooner. Need it faster? We offer expedited 2-day and 4-day options for a nominal fee.
