Nevada lets eligible plates stay with you when you replace a vehicle, but the registration itself doesn’t follow. You’ll need to apply to transfer it to the new car.
NRS 482.399 lets you reuse qualifying plates on another vehicle you own. The plate type must match the new vehicle. The Nevada DMV checks that match.

The credit stays with the person named on the registration. It doesn’t transfer through a License Plate Release.
