Game Day
A Smog Check After a Game at the New Desert Breeze Ballfields
If your family plays ball in Spring Valley, you probably spend a lot of weekends at Desert Breeze Park. In May 2026, Clark County opened four new baseball fields there for youth and league play. The county also added the Mike Aker Adaptive Field, built so kids of all abilities can play on a team. The county says it’s the first field like it in Nevada that a public agency built and runs.
A morning game can leave the rest of your Saturday open. That’s a good time to take care of a registration that’s coming due. The hut is open Saturdays until 4 p.m., so you can stop on the drive home instead of fitting the test into a workday.
You don’t have to wait for the week your renewal is due, either. The Nevada DMV accepts a passing smog check for 90 days. That means you can test on a free Saturday a few weeks early and still use the result when it’s time to renew.
Check Before You Drive
Gasoline Vehicles Only at W Flamingo & Cimarron
Before you leave the park, think about what your vehicle runs on. This hut tests gasoline vehicles, including gas-electric hybrids, but it doesn’t test diesels. If you’re hauling gear in a diesel truck or van, you’ll need to have it tested at a location that handles diesel vehicles.
W Flamingo & Cimarron is a testing-only hut. It runs the Nevada emissions test, but it doesn’t diagnose or repair a vehicle that fails. If your car doesn’t pass, you’ll still leave with the result, and a 2G certified repair station can take it from there.
Directions to the Hut
From Desert Breeze Park to W Flamingo & Cimarron
Once you’re out of the park, the hut is a short drive south. The way you go depends on which side of the park you leave from.
Leaving by Durango Drive
Take Durango Drive south to Flamingo Road.
2Turn left onto Flamingo and watch the right side of the road as you head east.
3Turn right into the driveway just past Sean Patrick’s. The hut is on your left as you pull in, between Sean Patrick’s and Green Valley Grocery and across Flamingo from the Nevada DMV Flamingo office.
Leaving by Spring Mountain Road
Turn right onto Spring Mountain Road and head east to Cimarron Road.
2Turn right onto Cimarron and go south past Roger Bryan Elementary and the Nevada DMV Flamingo office.
3Cross Flamingo Road, then turn right into the Green Valley Grocery lot. Drive west across the lot, and you’ll find the hut between Green Valley Grocery and Sean Patrick’s.
If you’d like the route on your phone, here are directions from Desert Breeze Park to Smog Busters. For a map app, the address is 8235 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89147. From the road, look for the Shell sign at Green Valley Grocery and the Nevada DMV across the street. The hut is a tan building with teal gates and big SMOG and FULL DMV SERVICES signs.
Saturday Stop
Pull Up on Saturday Without an Appointment
You don’t need to book a time for a smog check here. Pull up from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, or from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The hut is closed on Sunday, so if your games fall on Sundays, plan on a Saturday or weekday stop instead.

A technician will greet you when you pull up, and most smog checks take 15 minutes or less once the test starts. Other drivers may have pulled in ahead of you, so leave yourself some room if you have plans after the game.
Registration Renewal
Renew Your Registration Once Your Car Passes
The smog check always comes first. If your car passes and your registration is due, the hut can renew it on the spot, which saves you a second stop. You don’t need to bring your renewal notice, because the technician finds your vehicle by its VIN.
You won’t leave with a new sticker, though, because the Nevada DMV mails it to the address it has on file. Make sure that address is current before your renewal goes through.
More Than the Smog Test
Other DMV Paperwork at This Hut
Need more than a smog check? This hut also handles Nevada vehicle paperwork. That includes title transfers, moving permits, duplicate titles, plates, and handicap placards. It doesn’t do driver’s licenses, state IDs, Real ID, or written and driving tests. Is your paperwork unusual, or is something missing? Call (702) 436-5346 before you come.
