Nevada law gives you 30 days to report a new address. If you own more than one vehicle, each one needs its own update, this change only updates the address tied to that specific vehicle.

Your vehicle registration and your driver’s license are two separate state records. Updating one doesn’t touch the other. Smog Busters can submit your vehicle address change to the DMV for you. For a driver’s license, state ID, or Real ID change, you’ll need to handle that directly with a DMV office, we don’t process those.

And a quick heads-up: USPS mail forwarding just redirects your mail. It doesn’t update anything on file with the DMV, so that step alone won’t take care of this.

Moved more than one vehicle? Bring the plate number or VIN for each one. We can update all eligible vehicle records during the same visit.

What to Bring for a Vehicle Registration Address Change
