If DMV records show your vehicle is exempt from smog, we skip that step. We can then process an eligible renewal.
DMV mails your sticker to the address on its record. Standard mail usually takes 7 to 10 business days.
Once DMV accepts your renewal, the DMV record is updated. Keep your receipt while you wait for the sticker. A renewal does not clear a separate insurance lapse or other hold.
If your tags have expired, bring your vehicle papers. We check the record and explain which renewal path fits.
