Nevada offers several types of movement permits depending on your situation. Here is a quick breakdown:
Check the end date and use limits on your permit. The right length depends on your car and permit type. Extra permits have limits too. A permit does not replace full registration.
Nevada gives you three days to drive after a private purchase without a permit, as long as you keep proof of purchase and valid liability insurance in the car. That grace period covers driving, not insurance, so your policy still needs to be active from day one.
Once those three days are up, you’ll need current registration or the right permit before you get back on the road. If your car and transaction qualify, we can issue a 30-day permit on site.
