Pull up to 2330 S Nellis Blvd in the Carl’s Jr. parking lot, directly in front of The Great Greek Restaurant and Jaybird’s Nashville Hot Chicken. The smog check runs first. If your vehicle passes, results are submitted electronically to the Nevada DMV and the renewal follows right there. Your new sticker is mailed by the Nevada DMV to the address they have on file for you. How It Works

Smog Check First, Renewal Right After

Clark County requires most vehicles to have a current passing emissions test before the Nevada DMV will process a registration renewal. At this hut, those two steps happen back to back without you leaving the lot.

When you pull up, the tech connects to your vehicle’s OBD port and runs the standard Nevada emissions test. The test takes most vehicles under 15 minutes. If your vehicle passes, the result goes directly to the Nevada DMV electronically. You do not need to submit it separately. Renewal paperwork follows immediately after. Your new registration sticker is then mailed by the Nevada DMV to the address they have on file for you.

If your address has changed since your last registration, mention it during the visit. The Nevada DMV record needs to be updated before the sticker ships so it goes to the right place.

What to Bring

Your renewal notice is the most convenient item. If you do not have it, bring your registration card or your plate number. Your current insurance documents and a payment method are also needed. The renewal notice usually lists the fees due so you know what to expect.
