For a standard private party title transfer, bring:
- The signed title — the seller must sign the back of the current title in the designated seller section. Make sure the odometer disclosure is filled in if required.
- Bill of sale — a simple written record of the sale with the purchase price, vehicle description, buyer and seller names, and date of sale
- Valid ID for the buyer (seller does not need to be present if the title is already signed)
For a basic Nevada title transfer, insurance is not required just to transfer ownership.
