The hut is at 2711 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89104, in the Newport Motors lot on the south side of Sahara Avenue at Atlantic Street, directly across from the Nevada DMV Sahara office.
Diesel testing and salvage inspections only happen at this hut, so it’s the one to plan around for those, wherever you live in the valley.

Registration due? We renew it in the same visit. You pay our $10 fee plus what you owe the DMV, and the DMV mails your tags to the address on file. You don’t need your renewal notice. We find your car by the VIN on your door placard or windshield plate.

Nevada DMV Services at E Sahara & Atlantic
Rebuilt a car that came with a salvage title? It can’t be registered until it passes a salvage inspection, and this is the only Smog Busters hut that does them. Call (702) 436-5346 before you come, and we’ll tell you what to bring. We handle the paperwork from there.
Once the inspection and paperwork are done, the Nevada DMV issues the rebuilt title and mails it to you, which can take about 6 weeks.
Other paperwork, like out-of-state or new registration, takes 7 to 10 business days, with 2-day and 4-day expedited options. Those plates come back to this hut, and we call you when they’re ready.

Where is Smog Busters at E Sahara & Atlantic?

Which Smog Busters hut tests diesels?
This one. E Sahara & Atlantic is our only hut with diesel testing, and every other hut tests gasoline vehicles only. Bring your diesel here, no appointment needed.
Can the 2G shop fix my car if it fails?
Yes. The 2G shop at this hut diagnoses emissions problems, repairs them, and retests the car. If you spend at least $450 on emissions repairs at a 2G station and it still fails, ask us about a one-year waiver.

When does the rebuilt title come in the mail?
The Nevada DMV issues the rebuilt title and mails it to you after your inspection and paperwork are processed, which can take about 6 weeks. The hut doesn’t print or hold titles.
