Smog Check at Rainbow & Russell

Fill up at the ARCO, then pull over to the hut and hand over your keys. Most Nevada emissions tests here finish in 15 minutes or less, and a pass goes from our analyzer to the DMV right away.

Registration due? We renew it in the same visit. You pay our $10 fee plus what you owe the DMV, and the DMV mails your tags to the address on file. You don’t need your renewal notice. We find your car by the VIN on your door placard or windshield plate.

Driving a diesel? Diesel testing is done at our E Sahara & Atlantic hut, 2711 E Sahara Ave.

Car didn’t pass? You leave with your test results, so you know what needs fixing. Call (702) 212-6493 and we’ll point you to one of our 4 repair locations.

Nevada DMV Services at Rainbow & Russell

Relocated from another state? Nevada gives new residents 30 days to register. We do the smog check and VIN inspection at this hut, then submit your registration to the Nevada DMV, with no DMV appointment. Your plates and documents come back here, and we call you to pick them up. Call (702) 212-6493 first for a list of what to bring.

Bought your Nevada car from a private seller? Hand us the signed title and bill of sale, and the transfer starts here. The new title is mailed by the Nevada DMV, often about 6 weeks later.

Full DMV paperwork takes 7 to 10 business days to process. If that’s too long, ask about the 2-day and 4-day expedited choices.
