Smog Check at Rainbow & Flamingo

Pull into the lot, hand over your keys, and the Nevada emissions test is usually finished in 15 minutes or less. A passing result goes to the DMV electronically from our analyzer.

Registration due? We renew it in the same visit. You pay our $10 fee plus what you owe the DMV, and the DMV mails your tags to the address on file. You don’t need your renewal notice. We find your car by the VIN on your door placard or windshield plate.

Driving a diesel? Diesel testing is done at our E Sahara & Atlantic hut, 2711 E Sahara Ave.

Car didn’t pass? You leave with your test results, so you know what needs fixing. Call (702) 221-6447 and we’ll point you to one of our 4 repair locations.

Nevada DMV Services at Rainbow & Flamingo

Bought a car from a private seller, and there are no plates on it? A temporary moving permit lets you drive it legally while your registration goes through, and we print it right here at the hut. Call (702) 221-6447 first so we can check what you’ll need to bring.

With the permit in hand, bring the signed title and a bill of sale to start the title transfer. The Nevada DMV processes the new title and mails it to you, which can take about 6 weeks.

Registering a brand-new car, or one from another state? Plates and documents for those come to this hut, usually in 7 to 10 business days, and we’ll call you when they’re in. Need them in 2 or 4 days instead? Ask about expedited service.
